TYSTIE COTTAGE BOOKING CONDITIONS
The contract entered into is between the Owner of Tystie Cottage (“the Cottage”) and the person signing the Booking Form (“the Hirer”). The booking and contract is only confirmed once the completed booking form and the deposit has been received and acknowledged by the Owner.
The Hirer must be aged 18 years or over. The number of persons using the Cottage must not exceed the number agreed by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to refuse any booking.
A deposit of £75 must be paid on booking. The outstanding balance should be paid not less than four weeks before the start of the holiday. If the holiday is booked less than six weeks before the start of the holiday then the total amount is payable on booking. Failure to make full payment at the appropriate time may result in the cancellation of the booking and forfeit of any deposit paid.
Sub-letting of the Cottage is not allowed.
Holiday lettings are from Saturday to Saturday for a booking of a full week. Short breaks may be available by arrangement. Occupancy is from 3 pm on the day of arrival and visitors are requested to vacate the property by 10 am on the day of departure to enable the Cottage to be prepared for the next visitors. Arrangements for key collection and directions will be provided in advance of the holiday upon receipt of full payment.
No dogs or other pets are allowed in the Cottage.
In the unlikely event of a problem occurring which requires the Owner to cancel or alter the arrangements for the hire of the Cottage the Owner will contact the Hirer as soon as possible to explain the position. Refunds will be made in full for payments made by the Hirer unless the cancellation is due to circumstances beyond the Owner’s control, or due to non payment of any balance due for the hire of the Cottage. The Owner will not accept responsibility for consequential damages and liability is limited to a full refund of monies paid.
The property must be securely locked at all times and the Hirer must take care not to expose the property to fire or any other risk which may cause damage to the property. All equipment and contents must be left clean and tidy on departure. Any damage and/or breakages are the responsibility of the Hirer. Minor breakages are not usually charged for but the Hirer should inform the Owner so that the item can be replaced for the next visitors.
No liability is accepted for any injury, loss or damage to the Hirer and/or visitors and/or their belongings, damage by or to any third party or for damage to any motor vehicle and its contents, save in so far it is a result of proven negligence of the Owner or appointed agent.
It is the responsibility of the Hirer to take out personal holiday insurance including cover for cancellation.
The Owner cannot accept responsibility for breakdown in public or local supplies, including water or electricity, nor any claims for any inconvenience caused by any breakdown in appliances. In the event of a breakdown the Hirer is requested to notify the Owner or the Owner’s agent immediately. The Owner will endeavour to arrange a repair of the fault and the Hirer will allow access to the property at any reasonable time for such repairs that are necessary to be carried out.
If for any reason it becomes necessary to cancel or cut short the holiday letting the Hirer is requested to notify the Owner or the Owner’s agent immediately by telephone and then in writing.
